People First Educational Charitable Trust

Laptops distributed to three People First students by the Honourable Member of Parliament for Gaya, Rajesh Kumar Manji at our Gyan Vikas Centre. 

All three students are part of the Trusts CAPS scheme. CAPS stands for "Children's Academic Personal Scholarships". It offers opportunities for the most academically gifted students from our village schools from poor backgrounds to receive a full time education up to post graduate level. Some students have sponsors, but more are needed, if you are interested in helping a college student please contact us.

Upendra Dasni is now studying computer studies at Gaya College with his new laptop. " When People First started a school in my village it the first chance I had to receive an education". "Then I was recommended by my teachers to go for a scholarship provided by People First and continue my studies in a private school of my choice in Bodhgaya". "It was the chance of a lifetime for me". "Now I am well on the way to my degree and I owe it all to People First for providing this opportunity". "I would like to hopefully  teach others computer skills, students like me who otherwise would never get a chance in life to study for a real future". 

Sanjay Kumar, below is studying at the Alliance Francias in Delhi . He has also enrolled in a tourism management course with India's open university.

People First Educational Charitable Trust has been working in some of the poorest areas of India since 1992, in the fields of education, health, womens empowerment ,and child welfare.
