THE SAXILBY DURBAR

During their recent visit to the UK, Deepak Kumar(chairperson PFECT and Nick Hansen (co-founder of People First) had many opportunities to personally meet and thank supporters. One such occasion became known as the "Saxilby Durbar"  and it was Deepaks and Nicks pleasure to cook Indian food and snacks for the guests. Here are some photographs from that very succesfull day. Thanks to One World Children's Fund.

Everyone at People First sends thier heartfelt thanks to all the good people at One World Childrens Fund in the USA for their help in organising a busy programme for Nick and Deepak in California of educational and fund raising events.  Over $8,000 was raised for Rescue Junction during thier stay in the USA, but equally importantly new sources of support for our work may well have been secured.

It should be mentioned that these important journeys to the UK and the USA were paid for with personal trustee assistance and with capacity building funds donated specifically for that purpose.

No charitable funds meant for children's services or programmes for the poor were used.
