THANK FOR YOUR HELP
Recently two little girls were found abandoned and brought to Rescue Junction. Extensive efforts are on to find their families or place them for adoption.

Her adoption will be by an Indian family. Baby Nileen has now been joined by by Baby ASHA (photograph below) which means hope. All efforts are on to find her family.

You can read many updates about the projects work on Global Giving, (search Rescue Junction).

MULTI AWARD WINNING WORK
In his capacity as chairman of People First Deepak recently met His Holiness the Dalai Lama in Delhi recently. His Holiness is aware of the work of People first and it may be possible His Holiness may visit the children and staff at Rescue Junction at sometime in the future... We humbly thank His Holiness for his interest in our work and for making time in his busy schedule to meet Deepak.
People First has established a standard of excellence in service provision with landmark and ground breaking projects, high standards of transparency, well thought out strategies to actually reach those most in need, all achieved in difficult and challenging circumstances.
In recognition of our work serving the most marginalised and vulnerable sections of the community the Trust has been awarded the “Gem of the Nation” award seen here being presented by the former president of India, Dr APJ Abdul Kalam , to our Chairman, Deepak Kumar.
Deepak also recieved an award for excellence from the Deputy Chief Minister of the Bihar Government recently.
